What's this work about?

A view of a river looking downstream from a bridge.

Where did you make it?

I start this painting this outside on the bridge - en plein air. I finished the painting in my studio.

Does the finished work realize what you originally conceived? Were there any problems?

I wanted to capture a little of the beauty of the river in summer. I think it works, but I didn't have a strong idea of how it would turn out when I started. In terms of problems, it was distracting painting on site with flies, passing cars and hot temperatures.

Why do you paint and make images like this? 

It's a good outlet for creative energy I have. I like to create paintings and share them with other people.
